There are two new FLO charging stations at the University of Waterloo. A Level 2 and a fast charging station are now operating at 263 Philip Street in Waterloo.
A parking permit is required, but charging is free and open to the public. Click here to learn more about the parking policy.
This is part of a project by the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy to research clean energy, including EVs and electric mobility. The university is installing these stations to better understand charging stations and their effect on the electrical grid.
The further expansion of public infrastructure supports EV adoption, and FLO applauds the University of Waterloo for its research and the positive impact these new stations will have on the electric vehicle industry.
