Thanksgiving is a time to unwind, spend time with family and enjoy the simple things.
This October long weekend we invite you to be a tourist in your own town. Take Mom, Dad and the kids out to explore some amazing sites, participate in a fun activity and take in the beautiful vistas of Victoria, and do it all while the turkey is cooking.
Pack up the kids and the car and make your way to Miniature World, where you can walk down mini roads and explore story books sets of fact, fiction and fantasy. There is something for the whole family, including the world’s largest doll house, and one of the world’s largest model railways. Tiny treasures and little pleasures await the young and young at heart with special effects in lighting, sound and animation.

Wake the kids, pack up the car, put the bikes on the rack and take the family to visit Swan Lake. The Nature Sanctuary offers an extensive trail system that has something for everyone to enjoy. The marshy low lands that meander around the beautiful lake provide good habitat for many birds and small animals, including muskrat, river otter and mink. The lake trails are an easy walk and the floating boardwalks gives you a real wetland view of Mother Nature in all her glory. A 2.5-kilometre loop trail, that includes two wharves and a floating walkway, provide access to the lake area.
